What is this all about?

Cap Nord Cap Ouest is a two-travel project. Because in spite of the fact that Olivia and I share a total of five bike trips among which there are three trips around the world, we keep looking at what is left to do.

Cap Nord and Cap Ouest are two projects of physically challenging bike trips in harsh weather conditions. These technically exacting travels will demand some experience and a lot of training. The idea is as simple as going through the coldest zone in winter and the warmest zone in summer. Why? For the love of travelling and sports. We do not have anything to prove. We just know that it is through hardship that one can discover the innermost resourcefulness unknown to oneself that will drive the body and the head. Difficulty is a force. It leads to performance.

Of course, "performance" must be understood only as regards ourselves. We do not try to beat any record or anybody. We are just looking for a beautiful adventure along this very same road that we share with so many travelling enthusiasts. Our last trip around the world ended up leaving us with a thirst for travels unquenched, saddlebags full of optimism and enthusiasm and the certainty that the world is not plagued with brigands. A bike is an extraordinary passport, people meet around it in all countries of the world. We have six bikes and throughout the world there still remains many borders that we have not crossed. Cap Nord and Cap Ouest are about our next two travels, but hopefully others will follow.
